Craps is commonly known as a dice game in which players bet against a banker (usually a casino) on the result of one roll or series of rolls in which two dice are played. A purpose built table provides the platform on which play is conducted. The table design is divided into three channels with two outside channels running parallel with a centre channel. Play Action:
Pass bets win if the Come Out roll is 7 or 11.
Pass bets lose should the Come Out roll be 1,2 or 12.
Don't bets lose when the Come Out roll is 7 or 11.
Don't bets win should the Come Out roll produce a 2 or 3.
Don't bets tie should the Come Out roll a 12.
A player is only allowed to handle the dice with one hand when throwing the dice which must bounce off the table walls at the opposite end of the table. Should either or both dice fall to the floor a member of the casino, usually referred to as the stickman recovers it/them for inspection before returning the dice to the game. It is not uncommon for casinos to automatically replace any dice that fall off the table simply as a security precaution.
The initial roll of the dice in a fresh game of Craps is referred to as the 'Come Out' roll. Come Out rolls are made when a previous player was unsuccessful in achieving to make the Point or seven out. After a player fails to make their Point the dice are passed to the next player located directly next to the left of the previous player. In the event that a player successfully makes their Point the dice are returned to them to begin a new 'Come Out' i.e. new game.
